ANTIQUE TRUCK SHOW and FLEA MARKET

Among the famous makes represented at the Antique Truck Show are Autocar, Brockway, Chevrolet, Diamond T, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Mack, REO, Studebaker, White, and many other not-so-well-known makes, like Acme, FWD, Kissell, Mascar, Nash and Sterling. Fire trucks are represented by American-Lafrance, Mack, Ward-Lafrance, Pirsch, and others. A large variety of styles such as tankers, flats, dumps, vans, buses, and a large assortment of over-the-road tractors and trailers are featured. Many pick-up trucks will be on display for looking and photographing.

The Truck-Related flea market offers a huge assortment of mechanical and trim parts at reasonable prices along with a selection of toys, T-shirts, caps, literature, and truck supplies of all kinds. There is also a truck corral featuring "Trucks For Sale." A craft show will also be held on the grounds.

Macungie Memorial Park also has a swimming pool, tennis court, ball diamond, food stands, and lots of shady, grassy areas ideal for picnicking. The level grassy park makes it ideal for handicapped individuals and families. Overnight camping sites (self-contained units only) are available for a small charge.

There is no admission charge to the Antique Truck Show for spectators.

The Mack Trucks, Inc. Macungie Assembly Plant will also be open for tours on Saturday, June 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This tour is self-guided and will take approximately one to one and a half hours to complete.

Round trip transportation via bus will be provided to get from the Antique Truck Show to the plant and back. No individual cars will be permitted to park at the plant, with the exception of handicap visitor vehicles displaying a valid handicap parking tag. To ride the bus, go to Walnut Street at Macungie Memorial Park. The bus is free-of-charge and will run from 10:00 a.m. through to the final departure to the plant at 3:00 p.m.

Make sure to stop at The Mack Shop during the show for all your Mack Bulldog needs. The Mack Shop at the Macungie plant will be open to tour visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18. You can also visit The Mack Shop booth at Macungie Memorial Park on June 17 and 18, 2005.

The Mack Trucks Historical Museum will also be open for tours on Saturday, June 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Museum is located at 997 Postal Road in Allentown, PA. For more information or directions, call 610-266-6767 Monday, Wednesday, or Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
